Delete your account

You can delete your Charm account and everything in it at any time.

In the app (fastest)

Open Charm, tap your avatar to open Settings, scroll to Danger zone and choose Delete account. The account is gone as soon as you confirm.

By email

If you can no longer open the app — lost phone, changed number — email help@charm.watch from any address and tell us the phone number on the account. We verify ownership before deleting anything, and complete the request within 30 days (usually the same week).

What gets deleted

Your account row and, with it, every photo and video you sent, your profile picture, captions and comments, friendships and friend requests, group memberships, saved friend colors, watch face and widget settings, and the device records used for notifications. Photo and video files are removed from storage as part of the same request.

What may remain briefly

Photos you sent that a friend has already saved to their own phone are theirs, on their device, and are outside our reach. Server logs that mention your account id are kept up to 30 days for security and debugging, then rotate out. Backups are overwritten on their own schedule, within 30 days.

Deleting only some data

You don't have to delete the whole account to remove things: single photos can be deleted from your history, your profile picture can be removed in Settings, and unfriending or blocking someone removes their access to what you post from then on.
